Gervinho ready to sign four-year Arsenal deal.Utd offers 9M for Lens defender, also bid for Charlie Adam. And Redknapp rages @ Chelsea,Utd & City over Modric

Arsenal are finally expected to land a major signing by sealing the £10.6million transfer of Lille forward Gervinho in the next few days, according to reports.
The Ivory Coast star is said to have agreed personal terms on a four-year contract. He would become Arsene Wenger's biggest capture since the Emirates boss splashed out £15m apiece on Samir Nasri and Andrey Arshavin two seasons ago.
Gervinho, noted for his surging style through the middle, looks like a direct replacement for Niklas Bendtner, who has been linked today with a £7m move to Sporting Lisbon.
Earlier this week Gunners defender Baracry Sagna deseribed Gervinho as "an exceptional player who did a lot to help Lille win the title last season. Technically, he is very comfortable. He would be welcome at Arsenal."
In another development,Manchester United have bid €10.5m (£9.2m) for the French central defender Raphaël Varane, as they continue to set the pace in the summer transfer market. The 18-year-old Lens centre-half is seen as a player for the future but the price United are willing to pay reflects his reputation as one of the rising stars of the French game.
Lens' opening negotiating position was £10m and the major obstacle United appear to have is convincing Varane that he will get first-team opportunities at Old Trafford. He said only a week ago that he would "think carefully" about the proposition of a move to United. "What interests me is the playing time. I have to think twice and go to a club that will allow me to progress," added Varane, who suggested that "the most reasonable choice would be to stay in Ligue 1."
But despite the struggle of Gabriel Obertan, one of the stars of his age group at France's Clairefontaine academy, to make headway at United and a summer which has already seen Phil Jones added to the club's young central defensive contingent, Sir Alex Ferguson has gone to lengths to persuade Varane that he can learn the English game by signing now.
It has also been revealed that Real want Edin Zecko, and Adebayor is wanted by Rovers while Chelsea pushes harder for Modric. But the Spurs' boss dismissed Chelsea's £22million bid for the midfielder - and told them not to waste their time coming back with more cash.
Redknapp said: "Tottenham are not selling Modric, end of story. I've spoken at length to the chairman Daniel Levy and he said Luka is not for sale. So that's good enough for me."
